OUR CODE OF CONDUCT
1. Respect and Consent
• Consent is the foundation of all activities here. Always seek explicit, enthusiastic agreement before initiating any physical contact, tying, or untying.
• “No” and “stop” are to be respected immediately and without question.
• Consent can be withdrawn at any time, for any reason.
2. Harassment and Discrimination
• Harassment of any kind, including unwanted physical contact, verbal abuse, intimidation, or discriminatory behaviour, will not be tolerated.
• This includes but is not limited to discrimination based on gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, body type, age, disability, or experience level.
• Anyone engaging in harassment will be asked to leave and may be banned from the studio.
3. Responsibility for Your Own Ties
• All participants are responsible for their own choices in tying and being tied.
• Risk awareness and negotiation are essential: discuss limits, preferences, and safety considerations with your partner before tying.
• If you are being tied, you are responsible for communicating your boundaries, comfort levels, and any physical concerns (injuries, circulation issues, etc.).
• If you are tying, you are responsible for monitoring your partner’s wellbeing, checking in, and respecting their limits.
4. Safety Practices
• Always keep safety shears accessible when tying.
• Avoid ties that you do not have the skill or knowledge to perform safely.
• If you feel unsafe or unwell during a tie, speak up immediately.
• Alcohol and recreational drugs are not permitted during studio activities.
5. Community and Space Care
• Treat the studio, its equipment, and each other with respect.
• Clean up after yourself.
• Photography or recording is only permitted with explicit enthusiastic consent from everyone included.
6. Reporting Concerns
• If you experience or witness harassment, unsafe behavior, or boundary violations, please inform a facilitator or staff member.
• Reports will be taken seriously, handled discreetly, and followed up on.
