I am a total beginner where do I start ?
Come to a beginner class with a friend or on your own ropes for the class are provided in the studio
What ropes should I buy?
There are several different types of ropes used in modern Shibari. The traditional ropes widely used are Jute and Natural Hemp. You might want to start with these two.
How many ropes should I have to practice suspension?
To be able to practice most kind of suspensions you might want to have between 12 x 8-10 m lenghts.
And from there you can build on with smaller lenghts to face specific situations. Eg 6-4-2 m lenghts.
Can I come to an event by myself or do I need a partner?
You can always come to an event by yourself without any problem.
